Much time has passed since last reflection. So what has prompted a re-emergence of shared contemplation? Principally the overwhelming melancholy resulting from a disastrously dreadful performance. I do hope that the relics of the performance in question are quietly dispelled in unceremonious fashion. At particular fault was severe forgetfulness in bridges and leadins. The evidence to date suggests that further performances must be conditional on the complete solidification of the repertoire chord progressions.
I had good fortune in witnessing the 5th public showing of Beaufield. Extremely proficient 3 piece outfit, led by sublime keys and vocals, supported mind bendingly in the groove with sublime drumming, and rounded out with flawless bass. A huge sound, skillful songwriting and arrangement, fluent and effortless musicianship. A stark reminder of the writer’s musical limitations.
So much cyclical volatility still present within base camp. Work continuing and progress sought, however the health of partaking members coming under scrutiny. Much effort has been expended thus far.
